Faced with increasing CPCs (cost per clicks) (up 101% in the last 12 months) and competition, Gavin and Rachel knew they needed to find a smarter way to compete and scale on Amazon. Their ambitions were to double sales but they knew they didn’t have the skills or access to data they needed. We dubbed the challenge Project One Million!
Using our award-winning Amazon analytics tool we identified key customer behaviour and metrics such as their new-to-brand customers (NTB), % of sales from repeat customers, retention rates, customer acquisition costs (CAC) and profit per customer over time (LTV). We identified that their LTV ticked up (20% over 3 months), was greater than their CAC and their retained customers were above the category benchmark. This gave us the confidence to implement aggressive brand building campaigns with a higher ACoS, designed specifically to outpace the competition.
